A State Bar Court judge has recommended that former State Bar Executive Director Joe Dunn be placed on one year of professional probation for lying to the agency’s trustees about his 2014 trip to Mongolia.

Dunn’s conflicting statements about whether he told bar leaders in 2013 that the lawyer-licensing agency would be footing his travel bills, which ultimately topped $6,000, undermined his credibility, Hearing Judge Yvette Roland wrote in a 32-page decision released late Wednesday.
