The federal judiciary should improve its data collection in instances when judicial branch employees seek informal advice on potential workplace misconduct, the U.S. Government Accountability Office recommended in a report released Tuesday.

The 72-page report from the nonpartisan agency said the judiciary may be undercounting the number of incidents or not fully understanding the problem because it doesn’t collect that type of data, even though it’s a popular way for employees to resolve issues.
