North Carolina Law Firm Secures $4.2M Verdict in Personal Injury Near-Drowning Case
"This case is a stark reminder of the importance of safety and vigilance in public spaces, especially where children are involved. Our goal was to secure the best possible outcome for this young girl and her family, and we are grateful that we could achieve a settlement that will help provide for her long-term care and support," the plaintiffs' attorney, Larry Serbin said in a statement.

A North Carolina-based personal injury law firm scored a $4.2 million settlement this week for the family of a young girl who nearly drowned at a recreation center, leaving her with significant disabilities.
Larry Serbin of The Law Offices of Jason E. Taylor in Charlotte, North Carolina, represented the family of a 5-year-old girl who went underwater for an unknown amount of time in a pool at the Monroe Aquatics and Fitness Center in June 2022. Serbin told Law.com he began representing the family shortly after the incident.
