University of Georgia School of Law dean Peter “Bo” Rutledge recently joined Morris, Manning & Martin in Atlanta as a senior counsel in its litigation practice, working part-time with the firm as he winds down his decadelong leadership of the school at the end of the upcoming academic year.

Rutledge, the university’s Herman Talmadge Chair of Law, joined the UGA Law faculty in 2008 and served as associate dean for faculty development before being named dean in 2015. The university has begun a nationwide search for his replacement, and he will return to a faculty position in the UGA Law School in January, Rutledge said.
