An Australian court has awarded a transgender woman AUS$10,000 (US$6,720) after she was blocked from using a women-only social media platform, with the judge ruling that by its ordinary meaning, sex is changeable.
Transgender woman Roxanne Tickle sued the social media platform Giggle for Girls, a now-defunct app “made for women by women”, after the platform said Tickle was “considered male” and blocked her.
