Mary O'Carroll left contract lifecycle management company Ironclad to join Goodwin Procter as its new chief operating officer earlier in August.

O'Carroll, often called a legal ops trailblazer, made a name for being the first ever legal ops professional at Google in 2008. There, she paved a path for corporate legal departments to harness technology at a time when the Great Recession had tightened purse strings for many legal teams and law firms.
