Karen Dunn, a partner at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, has been in the political spotlight lately for balancing two upcoming events that some critics say pose a conflict.

Dunn, co-chair of Paul Weiss’ litigation department, is helping to prepare Vice President Kamala Harris for next Tuesday’s presidential debate with Donald Trump. Meanwhile, Dunn is also serving as a lead attorney for Google in a Justice Department lawsuit, which seeks to break up the search giant’s digital advertising business, according to court records. The Google suit is slated to go to trial on Monday morning, a day before the presidential debate.
