An Alabama jury has awarded $160 million to a man who fractured his neck due to the allegedly defective design of a heavy-duty truck that left him with incomplete quadriplegia following a rollover collision.

A jury from the Clarke County, Alabama, Circuit Court issued the verdict Sept. 9 awarding compensatory and punitive damages to plaintiff Leonard Wiley Street following a two-week trial. The case is Street v. Daimler Trucks North America; Western Star Truck Sales.
