- Prosecutors in Chicago have charged Tom Girardi and two others with stealing $3 million from clients who sued Boeing over the 2018 crash of Lion Air Flight 610 in Indonesia.
- On Aug. 27, Tom Girardi, 85, was convicted in Los Angeles on four counts of wire fraud. He is due to be sentenced on Dec. 6.
- Christopher Kamon, the former accounting head at Girardi Keese, and David Lira, a former partner and Tom Girardi's son-in-law, were also charged in the Illinois case.
Federal prosecutors indicated Thursday that they may drop criminal charges against Tom Girardi in Illinois following his conviction last month.
