A federal judge in Manhattan ordered Sean Combs detained on Tuesday, saying she could not reasonably ensure the safety of the community or that he would not engage in witness tampering.
"This is a crime that happens behind closed doors," Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnovsky told a stone-faced Combs in denying his request to remain out on a $50 million bond pending trial.
