Canadian family members who lost loved ones in the Hamas-led attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023 have filed a lawsuit seeking CA$250 million (US$183 million) in compensation under Canada's Justice for Victims of Terrorism Act.
The court documents, filed on Monday, coincide with the one-year anniversary of the deadly attacks carried out by Hamas, which is designated as a terrorist organization by Canada, the U.S., and several other nations.
