In response to a patent infringement suit over night vision imaging allegedly used in the iPhone 15, Apple asked a federal judge in Boston on Monday to dismiss claims that failed to show the big tech company had any "pre-suit knowledge" of the patents at issue.

In September, counsel with Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders filed a three-count lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts on behalf of SiOnyx, which claims Apple directly, indirectly and willfully infringed on low-light patented camera technology for the iPhone 15. In SiOnyx v. Apple, the plaintiff said it developed and manufactured ultra-low-light complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor image sensors and high-performance night vision camera systems.
