Hong Kong’s High Court has sentenced a group of 45 pro-democracy activists and politicians to prison in one of the city’s biggest national security cases.
The judgment has been made under the national security law (NSL), enacted by China in 2020, and relates to an unofficial ‘primary election’ initiated in July that same year, according to the court documents.
