In a dispute over an expert’s livestream video footage of a machine inspection, a federal judge in Missouri partially sided with a widow, concluding that she was entitled to more information regarding the inspection conducted on the equipment that caused her husband’s death.

Concluding that plaintiff Cindy Luttrell shouldn’t be penalized for not retaining an expert in time to attend the inspection weeks after her husband’s death, U.S. District Judge Sarah E. Pitlky of the Eastern District of Missouri in an opinion issued Wednesday ordered defendant DN Solutions America Corp. to provide Luttrell with an updated privilege log regarding each item obtained during the inspection.
