In picking Linda McMahon as the possible next head of the Department of Education, President-elect Donald Trump appears intent on making good on his promise to dismantle the federal agency. However, according to several litigators with active education practices, unraveling the DOE will be much easier said than done.

But regardless of whether Trump is ultimately successful in taking down the agency, litigators see challenges on the horizon for a number of education-related issues, including how funding and enforcement of education policies will play out.
