Another round of changes to Title IX regulations are poised to begin when President-elect Donald Trump returns to office in January. However, there are still challenges pending before federal courts across the country, raising a variety of questions such as will the Trump administration allow those lawsuits to play out, will his administration drop any opposition to the challenges, and, most sweeping of all, can he make good on his campaign promise to dismantle the Department of Education?

According to litigators, the added unpredictability of the incoming Trump administration only adds to the long-standing uncertainty that has been part of the practice for years.
