A Seattle jury awarded $100 million in the latest trial against Monsanto over polychlorinated biphenyls, PCBs.

The trial, called Rose v. Pharmacia, is the 10th involving former students, teachers and parents at the Sky Valley Education Center in Monroe, Washington, who sued Monsanto over exposure to PCBs in the school’s fluorescent light ballasts and caulk. More than 200 plaintiffs tied to the school alleged that they have suffered neurological problems, and Monsanto, now owned by Bayer, has been hit with more than $1.6 billion in verdicts during the past three years.
