After nearly 20 years of litigating against a Chicago suburb's efforts to block a strip club from opening, the parties have had drastically different opinions on how much the prevailing attorneys should be paid.

More than two years ago, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois approved a stipulated and final judgment of $15,111 in favor of the adult entertainment business, Chicago Joe's Tea Room, which sued the Village of Broadview for allegedly refusing to issue proper business licenses for the establishment to open. In 2007, Chicago Joe's challenged the constitutionality of the village's zoning regulations and throughout the lengthy litigation, the plaintiff brought in dozens of attorneys from nationally-ranked firms like Nixon Peabody to boutique Chicago firms such as O'Rourke & Moody and Luetkehans, Brady, Garner & Armstrong, among others.
