Even as President Donald Trump places his stamp on the federal government, Democrats stand to retain their control at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission until the second half of 2026, according to a report on litigation at the agency by attorneys at Seyfarth Shaw.

Trump named Andrea R. Lucas, the only Republican on the EEOC's five-member board, as its acting chair, the agency announced Tuesday. And that could bring an immediate change to the agency's priorities, but on a smaller scale, according to the Seyfarth Shaw report's editors.
