Consumer class action complaints filed in Illinois state court Jan. 14 alleged that two cannabis companies, PharmaCann and Cesco Labs, improperly manufactured and marketed their products without warning that they contained excessive levels of tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, the main psychoactive ingredient in cannabis.
Takeaway: Cannabis companies are facing product liability and class action lawsuits, particularly in Illinois state courts, from consumers alleging their oil vaporizer products misrepresent the total amount of THC in violation of state law.
