AT&T and Verizon are facing lawsuits filed by Cornell University in Texas federal court alleging that their products and services violate its patent rights on Wi-Fi technology.
Takeaway: Cornell University is claiming that the companies' products, such as Wi-Fi routers, smartphones, tablets and services, infringe on its patent rights for technology designed to improve internet speed and signal strength for devices connected to Wi-Fi.
