We Cogs all are sitting on the giant Big Law roller coaster together — one day giddy with excitement and anticipation, listening to that steady click as things (aka salaries) get ratcheted up, the next day (that would be today, if any of you are missing the point) hearing that eerie silence before the inevitable downward free fall.
