Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom has selected mergers and acquisitions partner Eric J. Friedman as its next executive partner.
Friedman, 43, will succeed Robert C. Sheehan in the firm’s top leadership role when the latter steps down in April 2009. Sheehan, also an M & A lawyer, has been executive partner since 1994.
