For the first time since the start of the 2008 presidential race, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., has surpassed rival Democratic candidate Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., in political contributions from lawyers and law firms.
By the end of April, Obama had raised more than $17.3 million from lawyers and law firms. Clinton had raised more than $16.7 million.
