A few weeks ago, the three name partners in Dallas firm Godwin Pappas & Ronquillo sat down to chart the future of their firm. But instead of agreeing on a plan to grow the trial and appellate firm, Donald Godwin, Christopher Pappas and Marcos Ronquillo decided the Dallas and Houston offices should separate.

Pappas and 11 other trial attorneys from the firm’s 17-lawyer Houston office plan to leave the firm to join Kane Russell Coleman & Logan‘s Houston office on Sept. 1, with the other five lawyers in Houston making separate plans. Godwin Pappas will no longer have a Houston office after Sept. 1.
