‘Survivor’ show winner Richard Hatch may face extra confinement time for breaking the U.S. Bureau of Prisons’ media contact rules, according to an attorney representing the prison at a Boston federal court hearing on Monday.
The hearing in the District of Massachusetts was on Hatch’s petition for a writ of habeas corpus demanding that the bureau release him from solitary confinement back to home confinement. Hatch’s confinement for a tax-evasion conviction is slated to end on Oct. 7.
