Beyonce Knowles might have the year’s best music video, but now the singer has been hit with a trademark suit filed by clothing retailer Abercrombie & Fitch over a fragrance set to launch in early 2010.
According to the 11-page complaint filed in U.S. district court in Columbus, Ohio — Abercrombie is based in nearby New Albany — Abercrombie claims that its “Fierce” fragrance line could suffer from a loss in sales over confusion with Knowles’ plans to launch her own perfume product under her “ Sasha Fierce” label.
