Editor’s note: Lawyer-Palooza: Battle of the Atlanta Lawyer Bands is a charity fundraiser featuring a battle by eight bands, with all proceeds to go to the Atlanta Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the Atlanta Bar Association. Each band is a local band with at least 1 attorney performer. The fundraiser will be held on May 22. This is a Q&A with Michael A. Melonakos of Mikey Mel and the JD’s, one of the bands in the competition. The band’s members are: Michael Melonakos, Drew Eckl & Farnham, vocals, guitar; Adam Hebbard, Jerry Coulter and Associates, bass; Derin Dickerson, Alston & Bird, drums; Dan Marcec, The Atlanta Lawyer, guitar.
