When Goldman Sachs & Co. put general counsel Gregory Palm on a conference call with investors last week to talk about a fraud suit, some corporate counsel quivered.
Palm answered investors’ questions about the Securities and Exchange Commission‘s suit filed April 15 against the company. He tried to reassure callers that Goldman had done nothing wrong and would fight the SEC.
