The Deepwater Horizon oil spill will make waves at legal conferences planned in Louisiana and Washington, D.C.
In New Orleans, the 17th Annual Admiralty Symposium, co-sponsored by the Louisiana State Bar Association’s section on insurance, tort, workers’ compensation and admiralty law, will focus on legal issues relating to the spill. The event, scheduled for Sept. 24 at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, will feature Michael Rozen, name partner at Washington’s Feinberg Rozen. He will discuss the criteria for weighing claims against the $20 billion Gulf Coast Claims Facility, financed by BP PLC.
