A Los Angeles attorney has pleaded guilty to charges that he traveled to a hotel to meet a 16-year-old girl from Georgia who turned out to be an undercover police detective.

Eduardo Brito Leaton, 39, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to one count of meeting a minor for lewd purposes and three counts of using a minor for sex acts, according to the Los Angeles County, Calif., district attorney’s office. Leaton is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 18 to six years in state prison and will have to register as a sex offender for life.
