Roel Campos, a former commissioner at the Securities and Ex-change Commission, has left Cooley to become the national chair of Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell‘s securities regulation and enforcement practice in Washington, D.C. Mr. Campos previously served as partner-in-charge of Cooley’s office in Washington. At Locke Lord, he will oversee the 650-lawyer firm’s growing securities practice. He will also be a member of the white-collar and internal investigations group.
“Almost everything that touches [the SEC], I seem to work on, be it enforcement or regulation matters,” said Mr. Campos, 62. “As a result there’s a lot of crossover into the corporate and transactional practices, as well as enforcement and white-collar work.”
