Partner promotions among the United Kingdom’s 50 largest firms rose by 38 percent this year, reports U.K. publication Legal Week.
The total number of lawyers to make partner in the 2011 round was 495, up from 358 the previous year, according to Legal Week, which cites growing market confidence and a series of trans-Atlantic mergers as helping to drive the increase.
