McDermott Will & Emery has relocated senior Brussels antitrust partner Frank Schoneveld to its Chinese alliance firm, The Am Law Daily has learned. Schoneveld joined the Shanghai-based MWE China Law Offices, which operates through an exclusive referral relationship with McDermott, on Monday.

“China is a key jurisdiction for us and our clients, and the country’s new anti-monopoly law is at the top of [our clients'] minds,” says McDermott’s firmwide antitrust head, Joe Winterscheid. “To have a truly global antitrust capability it’s critical that you can cover not only the U.S. and the European Union, but now also China.”
