Baker & McKenzie has advised a solar power company on securing a $143 million financing package for eight solar farms in Thailand. The firm has also separately advised the lenders to the construction of three gas-fired power plants.

Solarta Co. Ltd., a solar power developer based in Thailand, will construct and develop the solar farms, which will have a combined output of 34.25 megawatts when completed later this year. The project’s construction and development costs will be financed by bank loans and through equity investment in the project.
