ALBANY – In its push to conclude the 2011 session, the Legislature has approved a court system e-filing bill that will accommodate additional courts and jurisdictions that can accept filings electronically.

The measure, A8368/S5635, says it is “highly beneficial” to the state to allow the use of technology to begin proceedings or to file and serve papers. The pilot programs authorized by the bill also allows filings by fax.
