Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy has advised four Japanese investors in their $1.5 billion financing of an oil refinery project in Venezuela.
New York partner Daniel Bartfeld led a team acting for a consortium of three trading houses led by Itochu Corp. in a $750 million investment in Petróleo de Venezuela S.A. He also advised Mitsubishi Corp., which will provide a further $750 million.
