Former Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Judge Curtis C. Carson Jr., who served on the bench from 1971 to 1990, died June 19. He was 91.
In 1952 Carson was hired by the newly elected district attorney of Philadelphia, Richardson Dilworth, to be in the first class of black assistant district attorneys in Philadelphia.
