Nearly three months after Atlanta’s Midtown Plaza sued the short-lived remnant of former legal powerhouse Adorno & Yoss seeking back rent, a Fulton County judge ordered the now-defunct Yoss LLP to pay more than $500,000 in a default judgment.

Yoss, which was spun out of Coral Gables, Fla.-based Adorno & Yoss last October after founding partner Henry N. Adorno had his law license suspended by the Florida Supreme Court following an ethics investigation by the Florida Bar, struggled to survive mass defections and millions of dollars in debt under the leadership of remaining partner George T. Yoss.
