Sidney H. Asch, a former associate justice of the Appellate Division, First Department, died on Sept. 1 in North Carolina after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was 92.
A native New Yorker, Mr. Asch graduated from City College in 1940 and received his law degree from Columbia Law School three years later. In 1956, he earned his Ph.D. in sociology from the New School for Social Research.
