Herbert Smith has taken a lead role advising UBS as it manages the fallout from the revelation last week that one of its traders cost the bank $2.3 billion in losses through unauthorized trades, according to U.K. publication Legal Week.

Herbert Smith litigation partner Martyn Hopper, in London, is leading the firm’s work for UBS. He specializes in regulatory work with a particular focus on financial institutions.
