A retiring judge has accused an attorney of dragging out a divorce trial to prevent the judge from finishing the case before she leaves the bench.

On Nov. 1, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Saralee Evans (See Profile), who has reached the mandatory state retirement age, granted a mistrial at the request of Jeffrey R. Cohen of Cohen Goldstein Silpe, who represents the plaintiff, Kiwon Standen, in Standen v. Standen, 307023-2010.
