SAN FRANCISCO A San Francisco federal judge on Tuesday denied Facebook Inc.’s request for more than $700,000 in attorneys fees from plaintiffs who sued the site over privacy violations.
Robyn Cohen and four others had filed a proposed class action in the Northern District in late 2010 alleging that Facebook’s Friend Finder tool violated a California law banning companies from using names or photos in advertising without individual consent.
