'Vexatious Litigation Strategy' in Patent Fight Will Cost Loser $9.4M

SAN FRANCISCO The price tag for shady litigation tactics is in: $9.4 million.

That’s the amount of attorney fees that U.S. District Judge Claudia Wilken has ordered former Howrey client O2 Micro International Limited to pay competitor Monolithic Power Systems Inc. for engaging in “vexatious litigation strategy” and litigation misconduct.
