The New Jersey Supreme Court on Wednesday handed down a one-year suspension for former Assistant Newark Corporation Counsel Neil Braunstein, who pleaded guilty to third-degree attempted criminal coercion for trying to blackmail his boss.
The suspension is effective immediately, and before it is lifted, a mental health professional must attest to Braunstein’s fitness to practice law.
