A Hong Kong appeals court has reinstated a $55 million arbitral award that had previously been set aside on grounds of procedural unfairness.

In a decision issued Wednesday, a three-judge panel of the Hong Kong Court of Appeal ruled that the alleged instances of unfairness were not sufficiently egregious to merit setting aside the award and that the lower court judge had improperly interfered with the arbitral tribunal’s management of its case.
