Dewey & LeBoeuf Hong Kong partners Heng Loong Cheong and Joyce Chan are joining an exodus of former colleagues to DLA Piper, according to sources close to the situation.

Dewey, which has effectively shut down its New York headquarters, currently has five lawyers in its Hong Kong office, which included the affiliated firm headed by Chan, who only joined Dewey last fall. The other lawyers are local partner Sheng Wu and two associates. It is unclear whether they will also join DLA or head elsewhere.
