King & Wood Mallesons has boosted its Beijing energy practice with two alums of now-defunct Dewey & LeBoeuf.
Dirk Walker, previously a partner in the Beijing office of Dewey & LeBoeuf, is joining King & Wood Mallesons as a partner. In 2009, he advised Chinese state-owned CNPC Exploration and Development Co. Ltd. on a $3.3 billion joint acquisition of Kazakh oil company JSC Mangistaumunaigas. He joined the firm then known as LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae in 2007 from Vinson & Elkins, where he had been a partner in Houston, Moscow and Singapore.
