Andrea Sneiderman’s recent libel and slander suit against her brother-in-law over his claims that she participated in her husband’s murder has raised eyebrows in the legal community, both because Georgia law subjects such cases to high barriers – and because defense lawyers will likely subject her to great scrutiny.

Andrea Sneiderman’s ex-boss, Hemy Neuman, was found guilty but mentally ill in the shooting death of Rusty Sneiderman, but prosecutors and Neuman’s lawyers suggested Andrea was Neuman’s lover and his co-conspirator. She denied having an affair with Neuman and hasn’t been charged, but her brother-in-law Steven Sneiderman has sued her for wrongful death and said Andrea was “covered in Rusty’s blood.”
