The learned professional exception to the Consumer Fraud Act cannot bar a for-profit technical school graduate from suing over allegedly misrepresented job prospects, an appeals court held Thursday.

The precedential ruling in Suarez v. Eastern International College, A-2705-10, reinstated a suit by a graduate who claimed the school told her the degree would lead to a sonographer position but found herself virtually unemployable.
